Wascal Wabbits Rabbitry

A Barn of Show & Pet Rabbits: Mini Rex, Lionhead, Holland Lop, Dutch, Netherland Dwarf, and Polish

Though there are many varieties of Lionhead, not only the Single Mane (SM) and Double Mane (DM), but also the different ear carriage Up-Right and Lopped. Though the Up-Right is the most recognized, there are separate COD’s (Certificate of Development) for both types of ear carriage, whichever form of ear carriage that first achieves a successful 3rd showing will be the recognized version of Lionhead. At that time, all other presentation rights of the other version will be terminated and not allowed recognition under the current ARBA rules.

Does

Trixie

Chinchilla Agouti DM (Double Mane Doe)

This is Momma's Pride. Though she is a beautiful poser, the Chinchilla is not yet a recognized color for the Breed according to the Working Standards issues by the ARBA see the link below

http://lionheadrabbit.net/standard06arba7.htm

Junebug is CoCo Puff's Sister she is a Broken Chocolate DM, was bred with TJ, shown here 3/10/07, you can see the Solid Black TJ DM is actually acceptible for show, and  with Junebugs background of Black lines along with TJ's long lines of Blacks in his Pedigree we expect good things. Well Junwbug had her babies, she had 2 one died the Survivor is a Solid Chocolate with a dot of white on her nose seen below, her name is Truffle.

Bucks

Sebastian is a SM Orange Buck really beautiful, showing why the breed is called Lion Head with that tawny color and tight mane he has the features of a Lion though the ARBA judges the Tortoise color as the winners usually .

Von Lichtenstein

A  Sable Point Double Maned  (DM)

This was the pride of our Lion Head herd, having won Best of Variety (BOV) at a Show in Dewy, OK, until we made a newby mistake of putting him in a cage next to TJ another buck that SPRAYED him just ruining his mane and color, making him miss several shows, but we remedied that, now his mane and fur are clearing and coming in better. We hope to have back in shows soon. He was bred to Brianna who had a litter of 5, all Sable Points.

Coco Puff

Chocolate DM Buck

Though Chocolate is not in the COD for Lion Heads I think Coco Puff is still nice.

TJ  is a Black ,  and a Nice poser
